Introduction To Sewage Pumps

Sewage pumps are a type of centrifugal pump designed to handle fluids containing impurities; they come in various configurations, primarily submersible and dry-mounted types. The QW series is the most common submersible sewage pump, while the W series (horizontal) and WL series (vertical) are the most common dry-mounted models.

 

These pumps are primarily used to transport municipal sewage, fecal matter, or fluids containing solid particles such as fibers and paper scraps; the temperature of the pumped medium typically does not exceed 80°C. Because the pumped medium contains fibrous materials prone to tangling or clumping, the pump's flow passages are susceptible to clogging. Such blockages prevent the pump from operating correctly and can even burn out the motor, thereby disrupting sewage discharge and causing serious consequences for urban living and environmental protection. Consequently, clog resistance and reliability are critical factors in determining the quality of a sewage pump.
