1. Deep-well pumps must be used with clean water sources containing less than 0.01% sand. A pre-lubrication water tank must be installed in the pump room, with a capacity sufficient to provide the water required for pre-lubrication during a single start-up.


2. For newly installed or overhauled deep-well pumps, the clearance between the pump casing and the impeller must be adjusted to ensure the impeller does not rub against the casing during operation.


3. Before operation, clean water must be introduced into the shaft and bearing housing to pre-lubricate the components.


4. Before starting the deep-well pump, the following inspection requirements must be met:
1) Base foundation bolts are tightened;
2) Axial clearance meets specifications, and the locking nut for the adjustment bolt is properly installed;
3) The packing gland is tightened and lubricated;
4) Motor bearings are lubricated;
5) The motor rotor and anti-reverse mechanism rotate freely and function effectively when turned by hand.


5. Deep-well pumps must not run dry (without water). The first and second-stage impellers must be submerged at least 1 meter below the water level. Changes in the well's water level must be monitored frequently during operation.


6. If significant vibration is detected around the foundation during operation, the pump bearings or motor packing area should be inspected for wear; if excessive wear causes leakage, the worn parts must be replaced.


7. Deep-well pumps that have handled water containing silt or sand must be flushed clean with fresh water before being shut down.


8. Before shutting down the pump, close the discharge valve, cut off the power supply, and lock the switch box. If the pump is to remain idle during winter, drain all accumulated water from the pump.
