1. Installation Requirements
(1) The pump inlet must be at least 1 meter below the dynamic water level, but the submersion depth must not exceed 70 meters below the static water level; the bottom of the motor must be at least 1 meter above the bottom of the well.
(2) Motors with a rated power of 15 kW or less (or 25 kW, if the power supply permits) should use full-voltage starting.
(3) Motors with a rated power exceeding 15 kW should use reduced-voltage starting.
(4) The operating environment must comply with the specified conditions.

 

2. Pre-installation Preparation
(1) Verify that the well diameter, static water level, and power supply system meet the operating requirements.
(2) Check that the electric pump rotates freely without binding; if the motor and pump are supplied separately, connect them using the coupling and ensure the set screws are tightened securely.
(3) Open the air vent and water filling plugs, fill the motor cavity completely with clean water (ensuring it is truly full, not just appearing so), and securely replace the plugs; check for any leakage.
(4) Measure the motor insulation resistance using a 500V megohmmeter; the reading should be no less than 150 MΩ.
(5) Prepare appropriate lifting equipment, such as a tripod and lifting chains.
(6) Install the protective switch and starting equipment; briefly start the motor (for no more than 1 second) to check if the rotation direction matches the indicator plate. If the direction is reversed, swap any two power supply leads. Then, install the cable guard and water intake screen in preparation for lowering the unit into the well. When checking the rotation direction of the connected motor and pump, clean water must be poured into the pump outlet; the motor should only be started once water flows out from the pump inlet section.

 

3. Installation
(1) First, attach a section of discharge pipe to the pump outlet, secure it with a clamp, and lift/lower it into the well until the clamp rests on the wellhead platform.
(2) Next, secure another section of discharge pipe with a second clamp. Lift and lower it to connect to the previous pipe section, using a gasket between the flanges; tighten the bolts in a diagonal pattern. Raise the lifting chain to remove the first clamp, then lower the pipe assembly until the second clamp rests on the wellhead platform. Repeat the installation and lowering process sequentially until the entire assembly is in place; then, install the well cover, leaving the final set of clamps attached and resting on top of the cover.
(3) Install the elbow, gate valve, water outlet, etc., using appropriate rubber gaskets to ensure a proper seal.
(4) Secure the power cable within the groove on the water pipe flange, fastening it with rope at each pipe section; exercise caution during the lowering process to avoid damaging the cable.
(5) If the pump gets stuck during lowering, identify and resolve the obstruction; do not force the pump down, as this could cause it to become irretrievably jammed.
(6) Personnel are strictly prohibited from entering the well during installation.
(7) Install the protective switch and starting equipment downstream of the user's power distribution panel (which should be equipped with a voltmeter, ammeter, and indicator lights) and locate the assembly appropriately within the well house.
(8) Implement a mandatory safety measure by securing the motor base to the pump connection pipe with wire to prevent accidents.
